4/6/26 Update
An update from Ellie late yesterday! What a wonderful, blessing day on this special Easter Sunday!! For the first time since we've been in the hospital, Ankush was able to hold his head straight up while he was having breakfast!! He also ate much more than yesterday, and could stand up (still need some support, but it’s a very big improvement!!). He stayed awake a lot longer than yesterday, and we did thumb war using his right hand. I could feel his strength on right hand h
4/5/26 Update
Some updates for today! Ankush was on the surgery schedule, but the doctors have decided to pause for now to give him the best possible chance at recovery. Some of the immunotherapy medications he was taking could interfere with healing, so those are being adjusted. He also needs to be a bit more coherent, and the steroids appear to be helping with that. At this point, surgery is still expected to take place within the next week or so. We've received no further updates as to if/when surgery will happen, BUT! Ellie did share that Ankush was awake and eating this afternoon! We know if was more than likely from the steroids, but we will take it!! Please continue to send messages of well wishes, prayers, etc. to Ankush and Ellie.
4/3/26 Update
Ankush’s MRI results came back this morning and showed that the cancer has spread to his brain stem. As of now, the medical team is trying to determine if emergency surgery is possible with the hope of easing the pressure on his brain and helping him rest as comfortably and peacefully as possible. 4/1/26 Update
On Wednesday morning, Ankush lost consciousness and was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital. From there, he was transferred to OSU, where he is currently receiving care. After he was admitted, the medical team performed a CT scan, which showed no change from his previous imaging, and they are planning to complete an MRI later this afternoon to gather more information. With these recent changes, the surgery that had been tentatively planned for later this month may need to happen soo

Ankush’s Story Understandably, there have been some questions about why Ankush is out of the office. We received approval from his wife, Ellie, to share his general story. The overall info is that roughly two years ago, Ankush learned he had a tumor in his brain that was eventually diagnosed as being cancerous.
